What is FuturistFest 2021?

FuturistFest 2021 was inspired by the rapid influx of global tech advancements and wanted to provide an opportunity for people to become a part of such social innovation. This international event is open to those aged 13+, of all genders, and participants can enter in groups of 1-4. We will also be providing workshops so this hackathon is beginner-friendly!

This hackathon is a little different, in that participants can submit their program any time within the designated hackathon running period.

We provide workshops FOR FREE!. NO CODING EXPERIENCE is required for this VIRTUAL hackathon. Therefore, if you're a beginner and would like to learn more about the art of coding then sign up!

Our Prompt:

"The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of imagination"The Mythical Man-month by Fred Brooks.

This year, FuturistFest invites you to become the programmer. Choose one of the following social issues to work on, and let your creativity lead the way:

(1) Education (2) Environment (3) Inequality (4) Healthcare

Eligibility

Anyone at least the age of 13 can sign up. All you need is a passion for programming and for improving the world!
